Garden Couscous Table is a collective culinary performance created by food designer Myriam Meliani. Couscous becomes an ephemeral garden, a living and edible archive.
Each element of this edible garden was reimagined and designed by Myriam Meliani. Ingredients were transformed into flowers, left raw, or presented in unexpected forms. Together, we imagined that each element would carry a memory or an emotion: wonder, nostalgia, gratitude, joy, serenity… emotions that echo those experienced in an actual garden.
Visitors were invited to assemble the couscous according to their own emotional thread—to recompose memory and reinvent inheritance. Couscous thus becomes a palimpsest, collectively written and rewritten.
At the end of the lunch, guests were invited to write their own memories of Sunday family lunches on strips of paper hanging from a laurel tree. Eating becomes an act of transmission. The consumer becomes an active participant in the cycle.
